Right now, I am working on a book about F. Scott Fitzgerald, Sheilah Graham, and Hollywood in the 1930s. It will also contain a lot of drinking, powder blue suits, dances at the Cocoanut Grove, betrayal, gossip columns, crazy ladies, secret Jews, film lot moguls, and Dorothy Parker quips at funerals. If the world is still around then, it should be out from Random House around 2014. So let's hope the Mayans were wrong.

The NYC-based WIP is a fantastic new project from photographers Amy Elkins and Cara Phillips, who also runs Ground Glass, one of my favorite blogs for highlighting new photo work. It’s a rotating run of online exhibitions from both emerging and establish female photogs, and allows the women to explain and curate their own pictures. I think its a great thing—there are so many women making excellent work out there, and it’s time they had a home.
