Currently: I am working on a book about F. Scott Fitzgerald, Sheilah Graham, and Hollywood in the 1930s. It will also contain a lot of drinking, powder blue suits, dances at the Cocoanut Grove, gossip columns, crazy ladies, secret Jews, film lot moguls, and Dorothy Parker quips at funerals. If the world is still around then, it should be out from Random House around 2014. So let's hope the Mayans were wrong.

Sorry for partying with the massest of culture but the Rooney Mara as Lisbeth photos in W are really keeling me right now. And I didn’t even get past page 50 of the books.
Also: “Mara had her eyebrows bleached, her hair chopped, and her lip, brow, nose, and nipple pierced—all in one “very intense” day.” The fact that Industrial Light and Magic has yet to invent a fake nipple ring concept tells me that perhaps we are not allocating the right technological brainpower to Hollywood.
