Kanye Universecity
I was with Jstn last night and was shocked and awed to find that he did not know that Kanye West maintains one of the best blogs on the interwebs. It’s like a field guide to everything flavor: architecture, art, fashion, design, music, gadgets, all curated by someone super interested in them and (seemingly) with time on his hands, though one would suspect that Ye may be the busiest musician alive. But he had time last week to expound on say, the makers of grand pianos. “Seiler, known for fine craftsmanship over their 155 years in the piano business, and with only four of these ever made, the truly modern musician would probably have to pay some serious money to acquire one.”
It’s like Design*Sponge, the Sartorialist, and HypeBeast had a baby and that baby turned out to be a famous rapper who was an expert in about five areas. I’m sure a lot of you know/read this already, but if not, run, don’t walk.
