I’m not usually one for pimping projects I don’t believe in…so it’s a good thing that I totes stand behind what these dudes are trying to do. They also happen to be friends, but I wouldn’t tell you to check this out if it wasn’t worth your (very!) valuable time. Mr. Dream, the new Brooklyn punk rock band (the IIVV), are working on their first 7” recording, and they have turned to Kickstarter for crowd sourced help. I think it’s a nifty scheme: Ask your friends and their friends for that $5 that they might spend on a latte/cigarette/awkward downtown foot rub, make music later.
